Day 11: Hochiminh - Mekong Delta (B) Day 12: Mekong Delta - Hochiminh City (B) Day 13: Hochiminh City Departure (B) Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D) Welcome to Vietnam Culture Tour to visit highlights of the North and the South. Upon arrival in Hanoi, our tour guide will greet you at the exit then transfer to hotel. After checking in the hotel, you will be free to recover from long flight. Tonight go to local restaurant for welcome celebration dinner with Vietnamese Cuisines. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi. Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L) After breakfast at your hotel, visit Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilt and One Pillar Pagoda, then visit Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. The next attraction is Vietnam National Museum of Ethnology, the special collection of 54 ethnic minorities. In the afternoon, make your way to Hoan Kiem Lake for Ngoc Son Temple and Dong Xuan Market. In the evening, you will be entertained by Water Puppet Show and Vietnamese traditional music at Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. Stay overnight in Hanoi. Day 3: Hanoi - Tamcoc (B, L) Today, our tourguide will greet you at your hotel, go to Hoalu where you will visit 2 temples that honor King Dinh and King Le, who ruled the country in the end of the 10 century then head to Tamcoc (Three Caves) where you will have leisure boat trip along the The Hoang Long River. The area is surrounded by limestone mountains, river tributaries, rice fields. The river trip is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seeding for the next crop. The boat then will be rowed through the Three Caves on the river, all created by wind and water from a legend time, while the sea had occupied this area. After boat trip, enjoy lunch at the local restaurant, drive back to Hanoi then transfer to Hanoi Train Station for night train to Sapa. Overnight on the train. Day 4: Sapa (B) As your train arrival at 06h00, disembark then drive up to Sapa which located 1600m high above the sea level. Next, do pre check-in and enjoy breakfast at local restaurant. Later, go to Sapa Market and trek to Cat Cat, the home of Black Hmong ethnic minority. In the afternoon, drive to the Red Dao Village of Taphin. Next is to trek for 3 hours to other part of Sapa for the Black Mong Village of Lao Chai and the Day Village of Ta Van. In the evening, you are free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Sapa. Day 5: Sapa Home Stay (B, L) Today, enjoy biking tour for 1 hour then take a leisure walk on a small trail running downhill toward a suspension bridge at the bottom of the valley set over the long beautiful river. The walk is through the rice paddy terraces, hill sides and you have many opportunities to enjoy the magnificent valley views and encounter animals like water buffalos, goats or mountain pigs, which belong to the nearby Tay and Red Dao minorities. Next, you will cross the suspension bridge and enjoy lunch in a Tay minority stilt house. After lunch, you will follow another trail along the river towards the Ban Ho village, also inhabited by Tay ethnic minority. If the weather permits, you can walk to a small waterfall near the village, where it is possible to swim. Ban Ho is situated in the large picturesque valley where you will stay overnight with local family. Stay overnight in Ban Ho. Day 6: Sapa Back Ha - Hanoi (B/L) After having our breakfast, we take scenic journey to Bac Ha Market. There will be 3 hours driving in the mountainous area with fresh atmosphere and splendid view on the way. Bac Ha Market is the largest market in the region where 10 ethnic minorities gather to buy and sell home-made products or house livestocks. They also get together at market to eat and drink or just simply chat with friends about daily job and family. Visit the vestige of the Royal Palace for Mong's King built by French in the beginning of 20th century. In the late afternoon, go back to Lao Cai Train station for overnight train to Hanoi, on the way, stop at border gate between Vietnam and China then embark on night train. Overnight on train. Day 7: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B) Today, as the train arrival in Hanoi Train Station, have "Pho" the typical breakfast for Vietnamese people. Leaving Hanoi by road for Halong Bay cruise, enjoy drive in the rural area with scenic view of rice paddy field in the Red River Delta. You may be lucky enough to see cows or pigs on motorbike or Vietnamese kids ridding on water buffalo while flying kites. On the way, enjoy famous Vietnamese Coffee at Vietnam Handicraft Center then continue to Halong City. Upon arrival, check in Vietnamese wooden cruise in Halong Bay. Journey along the spectacular limestone islands, floating villages while having sea food lunch, then disembark to visit 'Sung Sot' or Surprising Cave, one of the most beautiful grottos in Halong Bay Bay. the nextstop is Titop Island where you could swim in crystal water or climb up to the top for panoramic view. In the evening, you will be delighted by candle light dinner on board with seafood dishes. Overnight on cruise in Ha Long Bay. Day 8: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L)
A breakfast will be served in the restaurant with the combination of western style and local cuisines. Experience the Bay up close and personal with a leisure sampan tour to Hang Luon or Lagoon Cave which allows you to see flora and fauna system of Catba National Park, then continue to Halong City. Disembark then enjoy the last seafood meal at local restaurant. In the afternoon, go back to Hanoi. Stay overnight at hotel in Hanoi
Day 9: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Hanoi Airport for short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Upon arrival, check in the hotel . Enjoy the oriental tour to The Reunification Palace, The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Colonial Post Office, The War Remnant Museum and China Town where you will visit Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay Market. Stay overnight at hotel in Hochiminh City.
Day 10: Hochiminh City - Cuchi Tunnel - Cao Dai Temple (B)
Today, go to Cu Chi Tunnel built by Vietnamese fighters during the Vietnam War. Discover the various mantraps, bombs, their life underground and stories then drive to Tay Ninh for Cao Dai's religious service. In the afternoon, enjoy shopping time in district 1. In the evening, our tour guide will host farewell dinner at local restaurant with Vietnamese dishes. Stay overnight in Hochiminh City hotel.
Day 11: Hochiminh - Mekong Delta (B) Today, Depart for the Mekong Delta Tour. The first stop is My Tho City where you embark on boat to visit colorful Cai Be Floating Market and privately-owned factories that produce rice papers and coconut candies then enjoy sampan trip to smaller tributaries and canals. In the afternoon, continue the cruise to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. Drive to Can Tho and check in hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 12: Mekong Delta - Hochiminh City (B)
Today, enjoy morning cruise to Cai Rang Floating Market and Rumani Von Xa Pagoda, one of the typical Khmer' s pagoda. Then leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City. In the evening, our tour guide will host farewell dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hochiminh City. Day 13: Hochiminh City Departure (B)
